HotChalk Art Lesson Plans

HotChalk’s LessonPlansPage.com is a collection of over 4,000 lesson plans from Preschool through High School and beyond, that were developed by Kyle Yamnitz, students and faculty at The University of Missouri, and more recently by the users of this website. Launched in October of 1996, The Lesson Plans Page was developed to assist educators of all types.  Elementary school teachers get lesson plans that are ready to use in their classrooms.  College students get great example lesson plans or ideas to base their own lesson plans on.  Home schoolers can get lesson plans to use at home and parents can get ideas for educational activities to use with their children.

Incredible Art Lessons

Welcome to The Incredible Art Department. This site began in late 1994 as a showcase for my elementary art students in a school in Indianapolis, Indiana. This site was the second educational website in Indiana. The first was a 5th grade classroom in Brookview Elementary. My district  was not ready for this exposure so they told me to remove the site. Instead of completely folding it, I decided to open it up to the world. The response was phenomenal. I received 8,555 visitors the first year. Now the site receives millions of visitors each year.

Can Teach Art Lessons

Created in 1997/98 to assist teachers in finding and using resources online. Although this site has resources which all educators will find useful, we attempted to place emphasis on lesson plans, resources, & links which have a Canadian focus since there was a need for such materials on the web.

Vocational - Lessons Plans for the Arts and Media

hinking that these resources might be useful to the teachers at my school, I began organizing my Favorites list by career area.  In the summer of 1998, I compiled all these URLs into a book, which was published by my local Intermediate Unit for district wide distribution.  By the time the book, CAT Connections, was distributed, some URLs were already out of date.  It became evident that constant updating was necessary for the book to remain useful.  In the summer of 1999, I decided share these resources with a larger audience through the Internet using the name Vocational Information Center .

Elementary Art Lesson Plans -

I taught Art in Indianapolis, Indiana at Riverside Elementary School #44 for the past 29 years. During this time I have taught up to three generations of some of the this neighborhood’s families. I have now retired from teaching.  I miss the kids and my school, but I now have time to do my own art work, which will include working with clay and doing computer graphics. One of my goals this year was to put up a web page and share my elementary art lesson plans. I have gotten a lot of interesting letters from teaching students, teachers and some parents looking for art lessons.  I have enjoyed each and every one of them, for they have made the time put into this website very worthwhile.
